8th of Dhul Hijjah

Take a bath in the morning and put on Ihraam garments again. The male pilgrim should cover both shoulders throughout the Hajj. 

Have the firm intention in ones heart of performing Hajj for the sake of Allaah and pronounce the talbeeyah of intention saying:

 لَـبَّـيْكَ ٱللّـهُـمَّ بِحَجٍّ 

LabbaikAllaahumma bi Hajj 

(O Allaah! Here I am responding to You in performing the Hajj) [Saheeh Muslim vol.2, p.612, no.2803] 

When making Talbeeyah of intention a pilgrim may also state a condition to Allaah as the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم taught:

اللَّـهُـمَّ مَحِـلِّـي حَـيْثُ حَـبَـسْتَـنِـي 

Allaahumma mahillee haithu habastanee 

(O Allaah the place where I take off my Ihraam, is where You restrain me.) The one who does this and is prevented from completing the Hajj – there is no compensatory sacrifice due from him, nor does he have to repeat his Hajj, unless it is his first one. [Saheeh Muslim, vol.2, p.597, no.2756] 

After articulating the neeyah, you must leave for Minaa (after Fajr and reach there before noon) saying the Talbeeyah aloud as follows: 

لَـبَّـيْكَ ٱللَّـهُـمَّ لَـبَّـيْك لَـبَّـيْكَ لَا شَـرِيْـكَ لَكَ لَـبَّـيْك إنَّ الْحَـمْـدَ وَالنِّـعْـمَـةَ لَكَ وَالْـمُـلْـك لَا شَـرِيْـكَ لَك

Labbaik Allaahumma labbaik, labbaika laa shareeka laka labbaik innal hamda wan-ni’mata laka wal mulk laa shareeka lak 

(Here I am, O Allaah , Here I am. There is no associate with You. Here am l. Surely all praise and graces are Yours, and so is the dominion! There is no associate with You.) [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree vol.2, p.361, n.621]

 You will repeat this till the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah (called Yaum an-Nahr). 

You must reach Minaa before Noon and remain there for the rest of the Tarwiyah Day (the 8th day of Dhul-Hijjah) and perform five prayers starting from the Zuhr prayer and ending with the Fajr prayer on the day of Arafah (9th Dhul Hljjah). Zuhr, Asr and Ishaa to be shortened to 2 rak’aahs. Do not join your prayers. Stay the night at Minaa.
