Day Two

9th of Dhul Hijjah

Leave for Arafah, after sunrise. Repeat the Talbeeyah. There is no harm if you also recite the Takbeer. [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree vol.2, p.422, no.721]

Stay within the boundaries of Arafah until sunset. If you do not do this your Hajj becomes invalid.

Glorify Allaah, repeat supplication, repent to Allaah, raise your hands and ask for forgiveness.

The best supplication at Arafah is:

لَا إلَـهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْـدَهُ لَا شَـرِيـكَ لَـهُ ، لَـهُ الْـمُـلْـكُ وَلَـهُ الْـحَـمْـدُ وَهُـوَ عَـلَى كُـلِّ شَـيْءٍ قَـدِيْـرٌ

Laa ilaaha illallaahu Wahdahu laa shareekalahu lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shai’in qadeer

(There is none worthy of worship except Allaah alone, Who is without partner. His is the kingdom, all praise is due to Him and He is able to do all things.)

Pray Zuhr and Asr shortened and combined during the time of Zuhr, at Arafah.

Soon after sunset leave Arafah for Muzdalifah.

Pray Maghrib and Ishaa prayers combined at Muzdalifah (Ishaa shortened to two Rak’aah).

Stay overnight and perform the Fajr prayer.

Pick up seven stones before leaving for Minaa (this may be done the previous night).
